Does anyone know where I can buy oil and water temperature replacement gauges. Want mechanical but does not need to be original style. Just something that works.

Thanks Don

Most any auto parts store should be able to help. My biggest problem with generic water temperature gauges is the capillary tube is much longer than needed and it needs to tucked up out of the way. I preferer products from USA companies but may not be possible today. Over 20 years ago had a Stewart- Warner (which I thought was a good brand) temp gauge that stopped at about 200 degrees worked fine in the normal range. That ended up costing a little but no serious damages done. So it always pays to double check if you thing the gauge could be off.

Know what size face you now have and buy the right plumbing to connect from the block to oil psi gauge. It has been discussed before but I think Cat oil psi has 10 to 30 psi in the normal range on the older models. Hopefully someone will confirm or give better information on that.

Cat sells a bezel for the newer gauges that makes it look like the old style gauges
