You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Folks.
Rustoleum has a spray pack that they call "old Caterpillar yellow", supposed to be the original 'Highway Yellow'. Has anybody tried it?
A kew-ree-yuss mind would like to know.
Just my 0.02.
Valspar has a really good match to old cat yellow---I believe Cysco uses that paint also![]()
I have been starting to check on paint to do my D2. As far as I know, Rustoleum has discontinued their old Cat yellow. I'm coming around now to the idea of buying the paint chip, and just going down to NAPA or some other place and have them mix some up. It might be expensive, but at least it would be a reliable source that I could go back to in the future if I needed more.
17A, isnt IMRON one of the LPU group of paints that requires much more safety measures than most other paints? I spent a lot of time in boatyards and it became known after several deaths that even outdoor painting with a mask was not enough protection. Do they now recommend forced air breathing systems? Just curious out of caution. Grant.
To the best of my knowledge, IMRON paint is not available/legal to sell in the state of California. High VOC?
Darn good stuff, and expensive. My trucking buddies will find it out of state to do their projects.
