Hi Martyn...good to hear from you. Glad to see you still have the D 7 model. I like to see satisfied customers! I see you also have one of the AMT plastic D8H models. I also had one of those years ago but it dissappeared long ago. In its day, it was one of the best detailed if not only scale model of the D8H.
Thanks to ACMOC, however, we now are having access to some really nice detailed Caterpillar models and the club is making some good money selling these. I have both of the D 9 models, all of the D 2's, and am waiting for the scraper. I can see buying anything the club sells because for the money, you can't beat the quality and detail. Since I don't have the money or space for the real thing, these models provide me with my Caterpillar "fix" in a reasonable, affordable way.
Went to the Best Show on Tracks show in june and saw a very nice 933 loader which made me think of yours. I hope the club will do a model in the future of one of these classic traxcavators...the 933, 955 or the 977. I spent countless hours as a youth watching these machines work so I would be very interested in a nice model of any of them.
See you Martyn.....Carter

Hello Carter
Great to hear from you, those plastic kit models are very good.I got two off Ebay.I modified the second model to be a straight crawler.
The ACMOC /First Gear D9 is a great model.
I will be getting some Ruston Bucyrus models from the USA soon. They are made by EMD Buffalo imports NY.They also
do the Bycyrus Erie versions.Got a few projects on the go including the 933.
Hope to get to the US next year to meet up with John Drott junior.
Regards
Martyn
