I repeated this from a earlier reply to a post.
These are from a Caterpillar "One Safe Source" catalog from the 1990's,

Since Cat has changed part numbers or at least added digits may be not worth the time to keep a pdf in the archives here up to date. And since I have been able to use the confuser and find One Safe Source from the Cat site before(I am not a real computer guy), maybe just making people aware it is out there with the name Cat uses is enough.

So going on the Cat site and seeing the current One Safe Source then you have the same information the Cat partsman has so when you want something not so common as say a 9/16 x 2 1/4 NF that is what you get. Having the 1/4 and 3/4 lengths is a real plus for using Cat as a bolt source. General hardware stores think they have gone above and beyond by having 1/2 inch increments.

Hello Ray54, Caterpillar is great about keeping old P/N's on file. I use my old parts books all the time and the parts person quickly says "That number has changed been changed to..." Cat has done that for over 50 years that I know of.
I posted these pages as JPEG's so they are easy to print or view in the size you want. Cat bolts are at least grade 8 and special bolts are listed that are much stronger.
The catalog I have is 30 years old so it has P/N's for cutting edges and other G.E.T.'s that might not be listed in the new books.
I was thinking about posting more pages starting with track hardware as I find time. I am judging the responses to this post to give me incentive.

I had not tried to test print these scans and did not realize the quality was poor. I will scan them again and post them later today.
Sorry about that,
Craig

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
