Working on doing my undercarriage swap 9u to D6b. Going well one side done. Problem I have is the sprocket I want to use had bellows type seals with the pressed in anchor pins. Took those out and I am left with 3/8 holes, no threads. New seal ramps are supposed to attach with 1/4 threaded screws. Do I need to helicoil down to 1/4 x28 or did cat supply a threaded bushing to update? Other side had threaded inserts already installed but I did not look that closely as I thought that was maybe normal. Thanks for you help and ideas, Mike

Is the 8m3995 insert what the 4b1323 screws are supposed to thread into? If so I think that is what I am missing. Other sprocket had an insert already installed

Friend that is helping me was able to make three up on his lathe while I fought getting all of the roller changed this afternoon. Tracks back on this evening, hope to finish up the project tomorrow afternoon.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
