I did not think cat made a self propelled grader model 22. I saw an auction ad for two 22 graders one diesel and one gas. Obviously that must be incorrect. I am looking for a D3400 engine and thought I would atleast check to make sure a 22 wasn't an early 212 or something.
Thanks.
hello mkreh23,maybe when they looked out the window from the office they seen 212 ,lol with 1 faded,212 is the closest number come to being a 22 ,bruce oz
My archive came up with a 22 with a grader on it, whether the grader is Cat or not I don't know, I did have some colour pictures of a 22 grader but can't access the cd they are on due to a new cd writer been a different format.

The grader in you pic is a 15 look at exaust coming out of right side curtain The only Cat 22 equip made was 22 tractor 2F&1J,22 teracer 4H and the 22 Pull Grader 3H
That could even be a 2ton
Hi Team,

Hope this helps.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Mkreh23.
Russell (swallowed by Cat.) made several models of grader to suit various crawler tractors where the tractor was actually driven into the grader and pinned/bolted/clamped in place. The crawler tractor then became both the power plant and the drive for the grader. I do know that they made them for the Ten and the Fifteen and I'm pretty sure they made them for one or both versions of the Twenty.
I suspect that by the time the 22 was introduced, the current wisdom was that self-propelled graders were the way to go. That how-wevver didn't stop them from making a side-saddle modification for the 22 so that the operator could better see his drawn grader which I seem to remember was sometimes powered by the crawler's PTO and controlled from the tractor.
