Should be another tag on the LH rear of the engine, just below the cylinder head.

Chances are you have an 85J 955K loader made in USA. Check where OM stated but some of the little later tractors have a different SN engine than the tractor so check above the draw bar first and all that I remember had the SN stamped in the housing if the plate was missing and was directly behind where the plate was riveted on so take a lok there if the plate is missing.

The Cat SNID book shows that the 61H came out in 1966 and the 85J followed in 1968 so yours probably is in between that like a 1967.

That would be a 1967 model...they only produced a couple thousand 61H's, as opposed to the 12,000 85J's covering 1968 - 78.

Maybe 85J prior to sr. # 1795......at #1796 changed to coarse pitch final drive gears.
I don't have enough information to advise, sorry.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
