Hi guys i need to find out the serial number of my loader there is a aluminum tag on the back rearend housing that looks like it had the number but its not readable is it stamped anywhere on the machine thanks James

Chances are you have an 85J 955K loader made in USA. Check where OM stated but some of the little later tractors have a different SN engine than the tractor so check above the draw bar first and all that I remember had the SN stamped in the housing if the plate was missing and was directly behind where the plate was riveted on so take a lok there if the plate is missing.

i found some numbers on the motor 61H1445 does anyone know what year it would be im looking for final drive parts

The Cat SNID book shows that the 61H came out in 1966 and the 85J followed in 1968 so yours probably is in between that like a 1967.

That would be a 1967 model...they only produced a couple thousand 61H's, as opposed to the 12,000 85J's covering 1968 - 78.

Does anyone know if the final drive parts from a 85j will fit the 61h my left side outer case is in pieces i can see the pionon gear and the bearing

Maybe 85J prior to sr. # 1795......at #1796 changed to coarse pitch final drive gears.
I don't have enough information to advise, sorry.
