Are there any service manuals out there for a D 5, or does anybody have any in a format to send just a section? I am looking at a D5 that needs a brake pad put on, and I am curious as to what kind of job that’s going to be. I’m not sure if the serial number yet, but it is a later 70’s if not 80’s model. It just has D5 on the sticker.

Thanks

Serial number would be very useful. The first D5's from the 60's would be very much like my old D6's and removing the fuel tank gave good access to the steering clutch compartments. No lifting equipment needed once fuel tank is out of the way. If they have decent canopy the tank can be lifted up and tied to that. Remove pins from linkages and linnig's are bolted together, so unbolt and remove band in sections.

But newer ones with power brakes and running in oil I know nothing about.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
