Can someone tell what the 2 fan belts on a 1-H are. Looking for a gate’s number / belt size and length
Friend just looking to replace. Is there a way to tell by the part number what it is?

Hi Team,
posted this recently.
I recall from the past that the Dealer will have a conversion to Manufacturer for vee belts as I used one when I worked there.

I have an ancient Gates Belt specification chart with a numbering system that Gates no longer uses.
Says it's a 3B8904 Cat part number with a Gates number 189T
Says it's a 1-3/8 wide by 63" long x 50 degree side angle.
To be used in matched pairs.

Cat equivalent to the 3B8904 now is a 5L6672
31.8mm (1.25" wide) x 1588mm (62.52" long)

Here's all the interchange numbers if you can believe the source....

thanks you both for your info. I have saved the V-belt pages for further reference and will pass along the info to my non-computer friend.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
