Hi,
Can someone please help me. I'm after detailed photos and dimensions of the seat, backrest and arm cushions for a cat 22 crawler.
As you can see in the photos I didn't have a lot to start with, this will allow me to complete the seat assembly and make some cushions to suit. By taking dimensions off what was left of assembly and some drawings and photos i got I think I'm pretty close to all the original dimensions for the seat assembly. Just need the cushions to complete it.

All help appreciated
Adrian

I don't know if it is correct or not?
BUT!
The seat cushions off from my D2 fit on my 22 as well.
The bolt pattern for the rear cushion lines up fine.
The bottom cushion fits into the box fine.
Arm rests?
I am up in the air on those as I haven't seen any that are close to original to duplicate or find suitable replacements.

Hi All,

After the suggestion from drujinin, I had a friend tell me the part numbers for the seat cushions on a D2 from his parts book, I then cross referenced them with my 22 book.
The seat base 3B2596 and arm rests 1B2305 are common across both models, as to be expected because of the fuel tank mounting on a D2 the back rest is different for the two models

Hope this helps some else

Just buy the "made like original" upholstery from John Hahn!
The best seats. I got one for my Ten and I couldn't make it that good for that price!

John is in the process of selling his large shop and moving back into his smaller shop that he started in. His health has given him some difficulty. There is an update in the magazine now on the way to the membership as of today.

Hello,

I recently fabricated a new seat pan for my 22 and my Hahn seat fits in it just fine. As I don't have great skills at fabricating things on the fly I made a reasonably detailed set of drawing for the sheet metal. Give a call if you have any questions. I also have a drawing of a started adapter plate.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the drawings, they will be a fantastic help to fill in the missing pieces

Thanks much, Paul. I am also restoring a CAT22 and my seat sheet metal is in bad shape. Your drawings will surely help.

I just got a new set of Hahn seats for my 22 a few weeks ago. There are new folks in the shop that are doing a bang up job. John has been training them for quite some time. Well over a year I believe. My excellent quality seats came from the shop. The crank strap came from John in a separate package. Don't worry, the company and the quality is alive and well.
