G'day everyone. Sadly, I can't make it from Australia for the BSoT at Woodland so have just cancelled my room at the Motel 6 a few minutes ago. If you are quick they may still have that room available. Have fun. OzCat.

Oz,
After reading your post, I felt compelled to tell everyone about my experience at Motel 6 in Woodland.
Had three rooms reserved for Thurs, through Sat, made the reservations a year ago.
Arrived there at around 2:30 on Thursday, to be told that the manager had given one of the rooms to another guest that very morning, after being told the day before, when checking the confirmation of the reservations, the rooms would be held on Thurs till 6:00 pm without a credit card.
So, for your travellers, don't take anyone's word that the room is good with out a card number.
It looked as if the manager may have been supporting some sort of illegal business there, if you get my drift!

Soapy, here's my experience with Motel 6 in Woodland. Checked in about 7:00 pm Sat, was 100 degrees outside and 130 inside, figured, no problem, they do have air conditioning right? wrong😮 went and had dinner with OM and wife Carrol at a top of the line Woodland Denny's😄 got back to the room and still 130 degrees, girlfriend had found another room already.
I went to the office and after what seemed like an hour I finally got a refund, I had to figure out the change for them 😮
Tom Bodett would be ashamed.
I guess we could have slept in the pool. Don
