Need a little help. I'm trying to adjust the drive clutch on my tractor, serial number 47a5030.
I don't quite understand what I need to turn clockwise in this compartment. Anyone have a page or two out of the service manual? And while I'm in here I plan on changing the fluid and cleaning it out. It looks a little chewed up on the sides of the rollers, is this normal?

Do you see the rectangle of steel held on by a fine thread nut on a stud? There is another one on the opposite side of the flywheel. Loosen those nuts and tap the blocks of steel to loosen them on the studs. Then turn the whole disk the blocks of steel are bearing against clockwise to bring it closer to the flywheel surface. Test the engagement until you get a good snap on the clutch and then tighten the two nuts down again. Don't get hamfisted and strip them! On the older D6 they aren't as beefy and are commonly stripped out, requiring clutch disassembly to replace. Also a good idea to tie a cord to the wrench used to loosen them so it doesn't get dropped into the bottom of the clutch housing!

Appreciate all the help. Unfortunately I did unbolt one and the stud came out attached to the square block. It dropped to the bottom of the case... I was able to fish it out with a magnet on a hanger.

I will look at it tonight after work and report back. Thank you for the info!

Spent some time on it over the weekend and got the clutch adjusted. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Ended up needing to adjust the linkage to the handle too. Thank you seiscat and ccjersey for all the info!

 The linkage has a number of pins maybe one fell out. Maybe not as sudden as you thought and it needs an adjustment.
