I would definitely go by the serial # plate rather than a decal someone could have stuck on.
My service manual for my D3B shows both dry and wet steering clutches. Mine has wet clutches and the fill level plug is a small one horizontally just outside the steering clutch compartment toward the track---there is also a steering clutch fluid filter under the seat/compartment

Ok, we'll check on that. Thanks for the advice.
28y is a d3b I think
yes--27y and 28y are D3B's--some are 3F-3R and others are 3F-1R---generally power-shift and pedal steer
Yep we have a 24y lgp 3f 1r ,and a 27y 3f 3r machines.
Hi Team,
it is not unknown for unscrupulous contractors to put decals from the next later series machine, ie, D8H with D8K stickers, so as to charge a higher hourly rate normally charged for said later model unit.
This would be so easy to get away with on with the D3/D4 as they are so similar to the untrained eye.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
There was one on youtube also, an old early D10 all painted up and had D11N decals on it.
