8D-132, I (unfortunately) never heard of the magazine, and of course didn't read the series of articles. It is amazing that you should bring this up now. I have chatted with the ACMOC board of directors about securing articles for our magazine, and we have done some thinking about it. I'd like to see the article, and have a way of contacting the author. Maybe you could help me by sending a photo copy to my home - address in the front of the ACMOC magazine. I may be in the minority, but I think that our magazine could be improved with a greater variety of articles. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. GWH

I will check with my buddy Chuck. I think he has about every copy of E&E along with what is called Steam Traction now. He will copy them for me if he does. He might be a little more encouraged to do it if some one was going by Zimmerman's and could get him the boiler #s of those two 75 hp Case boilers. I will call him tomorrow and see what he has.

Thanks George. Chuck has a 9hp Case traction engine and has been getting numbers off Case engines and other engines for many years. If the tags are not on the boilers the boiler numbers are on the rear sheet of the boiler at either 12 o clock or 2 o clock. Might need some sand paper to find them. I recently went with Chuck and looked at a couple of Case boilers. No engine # tag on either, but we did find the boiler #s. One was a 1909 and the other a 1921.

tw, the numbers on the two Case boilers are as follows:

1st boiler: 6501 and A2815

2nd boiler: 16811 and A4570

The boilers and the steam engine parts that went with them, are for sale. $2,000 takes all.

There is a young man from Canada that is intertested in them. He e-mailed me and I gave him Jim's phone # so maybe they have contacted each other maybe not. Chuck has been out of town so he is to call me when he gets back.
Thanks

I spoke to Chuck this morning. He will look up the article and photo copy it for me. As for reprinting it I am sure you will have to get permission from Brenda(current owner of E&E) or Don(former owner of E&E). I have spoke to both in the past and found them to be very nice people.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
