Hello, Been doing a bunch of research on serial numbers and weights. We are sending one to the Ukraine as part of our Non-profit.
First off we bought the first one today. it runs, pony works, generator was bad but the guy put an alternator on it with some custom brackets.
Second we found another one we are looking at buying and keeping to take care of our own roads. Both Run, both are in pretty good shape.

Questions:

Does any body know the weights of the machines?
(Most important due to knowing shipping factors across the ocean)
Years based off serial numbers?

The first one is a tricky one, we think its 9L2976 However I cant seem to find a 9L prefix anywhere (The plaque is very old and hard to see so I could be wrong) The owner says its a 1952 This is the one in the picture

Second is 6F3813 which i understand from online is a 1938-1947, however would like a bit more exact year.

Thanks for all your time in advance

9T2976 would be a 1952 model as the owner stated.
6Fxxxx is not a 212 s/n designation.

Approximate shipping weight of the 9T is 13,670 lbs, plus 980 lbs for the scarifier group.

Hi, Crg169783.
It's hard to tell from 10-12,000 miles away but the machine in your 2 photos looks to me like it could be an early 112, a Cat 12 frame with a D4-size engine instead of the D6-size D318 that went in the #12s. The bigger 'tahrs' would fit with that too.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

That looks like a 112 to me also. What size engine does it have, 4 or 6 cylinder? catskinner

212 is my vote, that frame looks too small for a 112.
