Dave,
For reference I bought a 25 s/n 3C 460 last year at an auction for $1,300.
Engine is stuck, manifold heat box cracked, hood and fuel tank also missing.
Has a PTO and street pads.
I've seen some with curved fenders, mine are the flat fenders. Basically a big 20 and I think there were only 500 or 600 made.

Matt I was at that auction, isn't the radiator been broke off the front of that tractor, much welding and pieceing done to it. You got a o.k. buy on that but I'll tell you one thing for sure,if it wasn't so tough, you wouldn't have bought it for that money, cause I'd have paid more. Condition warrents value. Bob Stewart.

I am trying to reach a price, this helps some
I had the feelign they were a little more uncommon than most of the other tractors, as I have not heard much about them

Bob, Yes the radiator has welds where it was broken off. I didn't attend the auction but put in a proxy the week before. Definitely a "project" machine. Were there any other crawlers at that auction?
Still have been meaning to make it down and see your place one of these days. Our Badger steam/gas show is featuring crawlers this year if you can make it the dates are Aug 15-17th. I hope to take my wheeled D6 this year.

Matt, yes plan to attend the show, I'm a member there. The show has contacted me about bringing some things up, kinda a long haul but we'll be there. Should come down and help decide what to take, only gonna bring one semi load, and what ever I can fit on my 5th wheel trailer. No other cats at that sale but bought a bunch of cat wrenchs for a buck a piece. Came home with empty trailer, could have hauled it for you. Bob Stewart.

I paid $9500 for a running tractor 5 years ago. The sheetmetal was mostly straight, I am finishing a restoration of it now and did replace some pieces. I did do rings and valve job on it. I also have history of the tractors life. The value comes down to what are you willing to pay and how bad do you want it. I have paid $2000 for a non running tractor. If the tractor is mostly complete but does not run, I would not have a problem with $2500-3000. There are parts on the tractor worth that much to a person in need.
