Thanks to all of you who gave me references for a manual to figure out/repair my sticking clutch. I decided to take a chance on the one on eBay. I just got it today and it seems pretty good with a lot of pictures. It's from Cat and covers the D4 tractor. I thought there would be different manuals for each model such as 4G, 7J , etc., but they seem to be all the same -as far 4G, 7J, 2T, 5T, 6U and 7U anyway. The book covers those versions of the D4 and the pictures look like what I'm seeing on the 7U I have.

The job actually looks less scary after looking at the pictures, but I've been fooled before... Anyway, thanks again for all the leads.
