By the way, for those planning to attend, the board members are staying at the Baymont Inn & Suites in the City of Peoria. Located at 2002 West War Memorial Drive, their phone number is 309-686-7600. Suggest everyone try to stay there. I just made a reservation this morning for a non-smoking room with a Queen sized bed for $69.00 per night (plus tax). Will be conveniently located. Recommend anyone wishing to attend stay at that motel. GWH

I will attest as this is a nice place to stay for the gathering. I live 20 miles west and Baymont is right off the interstate, (I-74).

Thank you Rob. Actually, I've never been at that hotel and am glad to know it is easy to get to off the Interstate. GWH

GWH It is so funny how few yrs back before Jeff we didn't even know if there was a meeting ,where, who was there, how much money we had, what was done and these tours were kept for the elite few. LOL Now YOU print the min. and fin reports for us, tell use when, where invite us all for the tour and Pres invites us to gathering at his home !!! What a big diff. afew few yrs and alotta bitcin does LOL. We just need to replace a couple more and figure out how to keep it moving in positive direction like it is. My hats off to the current BoD and the imidiate past group and esspescaily you. Keep up the great work and see you in June, You and Lee are on top of our ACMOC list. Thanks Willie

Well Willie, it is a rare pleasure indeed not to be getting a boot in the rear! :>) But there is still plenty to fix and we still have our problems. Little bit by little bit, we are making some progress. I think the magazine is going to continue to improve as you'll see over the next year or so. The delivery of the magazine is not going to improve; it is out of our hands and folks just have to ante up the additional $6 per year for First Class postage if they want the magazine in a timely fashion. We now have an outside accounting firm keeping our books, and according to Jim Clack, that is making a big difference. We now have some staff, with a full-time boss who attends to details that have, in the past, escaped us. Although our membership and chapters committee has been dormant for some time now, Lee Sorbel wants to get that going to address important and urgent problems with chapters that have been festering for years but never addressed. Like when your Chapter 5 wrote me about developing a constitution or by-laws and you never got a response. And getting insurance coverage for the chapters is about tops on the list. So you see, we have a long way to go before things are humming along as they should be. But, thanks for your kind comments anyway. GWH

Well the improvents are very visable and lot of problems yet to overcome but the first step to fixxin any problem is the hardest, you have to admit you have one, as you have done that makes the rest come easier and I'm sure the current BoD will do its best. Thanks for your honesty something we didnt have a few yrs back I wonder where and the Bill buddies who said there was nothing wrong are hiding now days sure dont hear much from them LOL Willie

I have had a few phone calls with Lee and one with Tricia last week. I have found them to be very approachable. When I have talked to them I found they LISTEN. They tell it like it is.
