Just an FYI that the D3400 story is out in the November 2017 issue of Diesel World, which has been sent to subscribers and will be on stands very soon. ACMOC is cited and I want to say again how much I appreciate the brain trust here and how they helped get it right. Thanks especially to Kent Bates and Ron Nash from hereabouts and Lee Fosburgh at Cat. Anyway, it's entitled "The Ship's Cat" (pages 170-174) and I filled as much space as I had with details of a particular D3400 and it's installation into a very historic WWII ship as a backup generator. You should be able to find the November issue of Diesel Worldmagazine on most magazine stands. I usually see it at my local WalMart. I think the actual date it's supposed to be on stands is September 12 but I think it might be a a little ahead of that. The D3400 story primed me for the D2 Cat story I will be doing in the near future.
