So, oilslicks question about measuring stuff to calculate wear on tracks caused me to take a look at mine.
I tried to match the number on the link to the charts posted here but I see now I have BERCO parts.

Not too much online about these. Can someone lead me to information I need to measure BERCO links\chains\rails\etc ?

Thanks

Whats the Berco link number?
Berco 1999/2000 is equivalent to Cat 2S5959/60 for the 6.75" pitch D6

BERCOCR1249 is the sequence I can make out. VERY tough to read, even with sand paper, solvent Etc.

I don't have a reference for earlier numbers. Most likely one of the earlier 3.91 rail heights (0.30" allowable wear)
Not likely to be equivalent to the earliest 3.78 rail height also with (0.30" allowable wear).

Ok, thanks for the reply.
With a straight edge and calipers mine measure 3.891. So that puts me in the ball park for you measurements provided.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
