Hey Casey, we're getting ready to go down and cut my neighbors place, then we can move on up here.
Early reports are looking pretty good for the winter wheat. There is not much spring wheat but what there is got hammered by the hot weather.
Just this afternoon, Sarah, my second oldest asked me how much work we had to do on the Harris this year. Maybe she's paying attention after all. Lol.
I'll give a heads up as soon as I know for sure when we'll be cutting, we had a blast last year and I'm looking forward to this year.
Bruce P.
I'll be there if I'm not called back to work.
Alright gang,I've decided to shoot for Saturday, August 19th as the date for my Harris harvest. For those who don't know, I get out my 1947 Harris 30-38 pull combine and thrash some wheat. We will pull it with whatever we can get started that morning (probably a whistling RD7). For more info or directions send me a PM. I'm near Asotin, Washington state to narrow it down. Crop looks good so we will make the old gal grunt this year.
Thanks
Bruce P.

Sounds about as promising as my place sometimes LOL
Would be great to come over and have a look at the goings on one day, I find it very fascinating looking at farming in other parts of the world

Hey Bruce
Plans are to be there if work doesn't call me back to ND. I'll be there on Friday to help if you need.

That would be fantastic Casey, thanks. We've got a camper you're welcome to if you'd like.

Thanks, I'll call dibs and take you up on that.

Well Bruce. The best laid plans go awry all the time.. I have been called back to work at a site in Watford City ND and must be there on the 10th. Maybe next year if I'm still vertical. Pulling a hillside combine is still on my bucket list.
Well, that's how it goes, I understand completely. We'll have it out again next year so no worries.
I need to plow up that patch we did last year, so stop by on your way back and we'll turn it over.
I got a go pro camera for Christmas so hopefully we'll have some better footage this year. Anyone have a request or suggestions as to where to mount the camera for the most interesting view?
