I have been on the search for a while to find a hydraulic hard nose for my 17A. The dozer blade came along as part of the package deal. Through a few suggestions from a tractor flipper, I found this setup 80 miles from my house. I don't need the blade so if anyone is interested, it's for sale. A couple of important parts were missing. If anyone knows of a pump shaft U-Joint link that fits between the front crankshaft and pump, please let me know. I have a couple of leads I'm chasing now. The other is the control handle that fits just in front of the fuel tank and bolts under the deck. I could fabricate the linkage rod. All of the pump linkage in the hard nose is still connected to the pump. Does anyone know if it is the same handle setup as a hydraulic 14A? That would help my search.

Bob, Old Magnet,
If that blade will fit a 74A D6C and a D6C tilt cylinder without much modification, I would be interested.

Hi, Paso Bob.
Good find and catch. Suggestion - with your piece of country in mind, it might be worth swapping blades unless your current one also has those corner bits on it.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I don't have all the dimensions to compare but these items are likely different when mounting to the D6C.
D7 17A blade is 10' - 3 1/2" wide, the D6C is 9' - 6 1/2" wide.
Mounting trunions are likely to be different diameter.
D6C lift cylinders have different blade attachment system then the 17A, also center to center spacing may be different even though they are both the same gauge.
Push arm length should be checked although I don't believe that is a problem.
Depending on whether you have an early or late tilt cylinder, mayor changes to the blade attachment may be required.

Thanks Old Magnet.
Called Bob and we're working on it.
My D6C is an early one with the lower ram mount points. I'm sure we'd have to fabricate some kind of a mount for the ram to clamp on.
Tilt cylinder is early also.
I really appreciate the information you provide. It sure saves a bunch of research and mistakes.
Thanks again.
