Hello everyone, I am thinking of painting the exhaust manifolds on the Diesel 50 with the VHT brand of paint. What do you was the original color? In old b&w printed manuals it looks like it could be silver or aluminum, so what do you guys think? Thanks.

Just did mine yesterday. I keep it simple and use a high temp. paint as you were thinking of doing in silver or alum. Bill[attachment=40980]CIMG4512.JPG[/attachment]

I've been using POR15 high temperature aluminum paint on exhaust manifolds (after sand blasting). Holds up pretty good but eventually rust pops up again even if you use several coats.

I had mine Jet Hot coated, there some performance shops that can powder coat them too.
