Hi, Folks.
Batten the hatches. These things are nasty. If Debbie makes it to a Category 4 cyclone as predicted, she will be packing winds of up to 130 mph (200 kph) with possible higher gusts. You can't walk upright without something to hold on to in those winds and extensive damage is likely to buildings and infrastructure. For you top-siders, this is about the same category as Hurricane Katrina which was Category 3 with winds up to 140 mph.

The rain is a whole nuther story. There will be LOTTTTS of it. I have heard that there could be up to 8" of rain PER DAY for several days in the hardest hit areas. Once a cyclone goes over the coast, it loses its high winds fairly quickly but the rains can linger for quite a while and the dying system can travel for several hundred miles in almost any direction.

I hope everybody affected stays safe and well.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
