A continuation of my electric start conversion using a starter off a 1979 IH1486. With gear reduction using internal 6 spline gear from the input side of a Ford 4000 tractor pto on existing pony motor clutch and trans. housing.

For alternator setup I made up a plate to bolt to front of 3T harmonic balancer then in center of this plate used a 6" water pump pulley off a 69 Mustang to provide proper standoff for mounting my 100amp ford 3 wire alternator using homemade bracket on front engine mount

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
