The old D8 lives again

First of all I need to thank Bill Austin, Brian18a, and Casey who really saved the day. Got to the tractor around 8:30, gave it a go over.
I had not seen the tractor in person, only the pics. First bad deal and {really the only}was that the main was full to the top of the dipstick with diesel:eek: was not that way, when Bill last saw it saw it in March, that is where Casey saved the day. I was not prepared to remove 20 gals of contaminated oil/fuel. He was good enough to bring the containment that would do the job, Thanks again Casey.
Brian18a was good enough to offer a crank {when the one I was supposed to get fell through} for the pony, cause I did not know if it was on the tractor or not, it was, but Brian still spent the day there with us and was a big help.
Bill dug right in to everything, while I was talking and taking pics:D Bill was working, felt guilty sometimes
Then I had to go to work, drained the oil/diesel, pony was a bit moody as usual, cleaned the filter, installed a new bowl and gasket{bowl was missing} found out how much choke it liked and it came to life:D got it rolling over and went to bleed the fuel system, pinion kicked out once, got it roilling again and flipped the compression lever and away it went. This thing runs like a swiss watch. Got on board the old D8 and it moved probably for the first time in any where from 4 to 10 years. There were many little things that happened in between but that is the simplified story. Thank you guys all again. Don

Glen, here is the removal of the ROPS. Tell Pat that there is no need for the erector set:D I have a real ROPS in Oregon, sweeps and all, plus hardnose and live CCU. I may take him up on the hat though:D
