The D5, D6, D6B, 955 12A5793-up plus 955 models H & K, 977 20A1 to 5792 all use the same bottom rollers.
The D6, 955C, E, 12A5793-7685, 977D, 20A1-2508 all use the same top grease type rollers.
The D5, D6, 955E, 12A7686-up, H, K, 951, 951B all use the same lifetime type top rollers but modifications may be required to match the stands.
At one time you could get lifetime top rollers modified to fit grease type stands for the D6, 955, 12A5793-7685, 977D, 20A1-2508 but I do not know of a current source.
l got some d6b rollers and stands for a local wrecker so my next question.
My dozer track chain was made by simmel and I am trying to find out what the pitch is so I can keep a look out for spare parts
D6B should be 6.75" pitch unless updated to D5 6.91" pitch.
Answer the question on your previous post!!!
What are you talking about OM, D6 with 6 cylinder engine up to D6B are all 6.75" pitch, unless updated to D5 size 6.91" pitch, There are two sizes of 6.75" pitch track, D4 and D6, so check what machine they have come from.
Hi catsilver,
I was referencing the original poster who asked the same question previously.
I asked for a tooth count on the sprocket.
The 6.75 pitch is 28 tooth, the 6.91 is 27 tooth.
I wondered where you were coming from OM, its always best to get a part number from the links, Cat or otherwise, then they can be identified easily.
k I have 28 teeth on the sprocket
the next time I am near the 955 I am looking at I will see what it has
the cans on both machines are simmel they were bought out by berko and info on the out simmel chains seems hard to find
Was talking to the fellow I got the rollers from for the d6 8u and he tough that they came of a drott excavator
Simmel used to make undercarriage components for many machines as do Berco, the part number on the links may tell us something.
