yes actually the ih manufactured toolbar/toolbar blade set up is very uncommon for any the ih crawlers. case and allis also had toolbar set ups for their crawlers. i ain't never seen any those 2 though. besides cat, i have a small collection of other tracked machine manufacturers toolbar brochures.

Well that's great news is I understand you correctly. Does that make my TD15 really rare ?

I may be seeing it wrong but it looks like a common blade to me. On a toolbar the blade arms and cylinders would pivot to the back so a toolbar could be attached behind the machine.

Like both tractors are capable of having the frames swapped front to back? The TD9 doesn't show the toolbar connection point but the TD15 looks like you would back into the frame and just flip the cylinders over as it has slide bars on the rear of the track frames.

I did see the rear guides, but was looking for hinges. I figured a complete toolbar or other attachment could use the trunnions and cylinders. Probably a lot easier to drop the whole dozer than dropping just the blade and spinning the arms..

cat are the only swing around draft beams i know of. though cat did have a disconnect and back tractor into t-bars too. i believe these were early arrangements. all other manufacturers were disconnect and back into setups i know of.

Yes, on the TD 15 you remove two bolts on each side, pull the pins on the hydraulic cylinders and back away, leaving the blade on the ground.

Oilslick has not found me any tool bars to attach in the back, so I have not tried it yet.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
