I have a d4 7u that has the same symptoms as Toms d311 genset, only I have run mine for about fifteen hours. When I'm pushing dirt with it it does't miss a beat, as soon as I start backing up without a load it starts popping. When its just ideling it only pops every once and awhile. I have used the dozer about ten times. Thanks spencer
