I can't tell what was happening when he gets about 1/3 on the boat if the boat was breaking up under him or what. Seems to me like he needed to make a quick run for it and it might have worked. Kind of like getting up a snow covered hill you get momentum and go like "help!" Muddy haul roads the same way.

Note the Third world theme again.

Just as well he went over then. At least he was near shore. He never would have had a chance operating from that boat but would have capsized it as soon as it got cut loose from shore. At least he sunk it with the cab door up. Video of the recovery was probably just as fun. Or maybe it was a scene for reality TV mining for gold.

Capsize... would have been too top heavy anyway.

Sometimes people get away with such risks, but not on this day.

I know nothing about boats but I think if they could have got it loaded they would have been right I know trying to load anything that floats is a lot harder than it looks as everything floats and moves to react to the load (listing I think its called)
I wonder if had of been loaded on with crane in the middle would it have been right

anyway they just need to jump on the blower to Glen and he can winch it back out no problem 👍

I don't know much about boats either, but I think it's safe to say they sink if you put too much weight in or on them! 👍

Hey Team,

I like it at the last part when the three Barrells (floats) popped up, I was waiting for Jaws to pop his head out and show some fangs...

Hey OilSlick,

I didn't know you started running Excavators. Might want to stick to land for a bit. :fish2:

While my experience with heavy equipment is much different than most of the posters on here I just gotta show my inexperience off.

There was so much wrong with that it's unbelievable. I can't believe that those few guys thought they could counterbalance that excavator! They only needed about 100 more people to do that!

Man it was unbelievable of just how far a pontoon bridge would settle with the weight of a tank on it. Glad I never was the driver when doing a river crossing. Really doubt the driver could have gotten out had the tank gone in. On the M1 it would be almost impossible.

I know I hear lots of guys gripe about OSHA and their rules. Well that's a prime example of a country that has no safety rules and many of our companies here would have workers doing stupid stuff like that trying to save a few bucks if it's weren't for OSHA.

Get on YouTube and loot up crane accidents. A surprising number are from Russia that involve small cranes breaking booms.

Now on another note. Which one of you guys was driving?

Rick
