Hi, I’ve been looking for a cat DW10, 15 or 20, in good condition to restore, in my area (west coast) for the last 10 years, with no luck, I recently found a DW10 in decent condition in the Midwest. However because of the price I find myself in a position of being able to afford to buy it or ship it but not both. I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure an economical ways to get it out here before it’s sold, I remembered that ACMOC is hosting the tractor show in Santa Margarita Ca. this coming summer, which is only about an 60 miles from my house and that when ACMOC hosted the Tulare show in Ca. years ago there were a number of members who brought their Cats out to the show with partial loads so as to have room to take back tractors they bought while they were here. So I was wondering if anybody might be doing something like that or knew of anybody who was, for the show this summer, that I might be able to work out a deal with. I know it a long shot for a number of reasons but I figured I had to at least give it a try, before it's sold. Thanks Doug (805-291-987😎, [email protected]

Guys when you are thinking about buying machines where long distance hauling is going to be needed you need to get think about getting rates before hand. The days of cheap freight rates are over.Guys like myself that have been in the heavy haul business many years are getting fed up with government regulations and lowballers that can't seem to load and unload equipment with damaging it or like today where a lowbed in Stockton hauling a small excavator hit a bridge on 99 .i have had several friends in the heavy haul bus that quit this year because of the above reasons.

I have good luck with Platt and Assoc. who are heavy haul load brokers.
If you have loading ramps at both ends and it will fit a single drop trailer will be half the price of a double drop.
good luck!
