I got a stack of receipts about a half-inch thick when I bought the Nudist (4 day dozer) D4. Is there an easy way (online?) to find a more detailed description of the parts purchased?

It would help to know what work was actually done.

Carl,
I did that by just "googling" the Cat numbers that I had.
Some will work some will not.
you will get a bunch of hits to Tractor Parts in Idaho.
I then bought my parts from them. I will buy again.
watch the WWWs and see who or what the sites are. some errrors along the way and you will probably get most of them.
probably not any real odd stuff.😠

Have fun and post your experiences.

I have been trying to get into the Cat PartsStore. My wife set up an account and got it working on her laptop but I have not been able to access it from any of my computers yet. The only part number I ran came up "not available" with no other information. It seems like there must be others on this board that use the service but not much is said about it.

Years ago I used to fax a list of parts numbers to Cat and have them ship the parts. Now there prices are so high I look first to aftermarket parts. At the same time it seems like many parts for our old Cats are not available anymore.
It would be nice to know what they have and how much it is before deciding.

I have a stack of invoices from the '60's and '70's, it is amazing how reasonable Cat parts were back then. It was easy to keep your machine "All Cat"

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
