That's correct, in WW2, Cat could not step up production quickly enough, so the 4T was built, to cat design and specs, by the American Car and Foundry Company, I am led to believe that they built the whole of 4T production, but am not sure if this is true.
I remember that tractor, I was at the sale, went reasonable.

I think you will find that the 'outer ring' of that symbol is ackshully a lower case 'a' - see the straight line up the right side of said symbol. But 'kee-wreck-shuns' are welkum.
