This might be of use to folks looking for a replacement needle bearing for the D2 reverse gear, which is NLA from Cat. It's originally a Hyatt 93524; they're no longer making bearings but Consolidated Bearing make a replacement 93524 and it looks like it will do the job. I bought a couple from Bdiexpress.com for $16 ea.

Thanks for sharing the info Neil, those needle rollers are getting harder to find and can be expensive, $16 for that bearing is a steal.

yup a steal I paid 75$ Au for one from the company that took over the USA maker - NTN I think - but at least I was able to get one.

They also pop up on EBay but again can be expensive, especially given exchange rates and international post which seems to have increased dramatically in recent times.

I don't knoiw what others are doing but I am looking at EBay less and less nowadays given bargains are very hard to find. One seller told me it is almost not worth her while to sell via EBay due to increasing fees and charges inc lncluding 12% sales commission etc, and tightening import constraints and rubbery calculator postage costs which forced her to stop selling OS.

I suggested she post here many Cat treasures on ACMOC and avoid EBay altogether😊

Maybe ACMOC could set up a depot for us poor and often deprived OS Cat lovers to better access the US market given many sellers won't post overseas? Just a thought.....

What you need is for Deas to chaperone a container on his thrice-annual trips State-side. Waiting for four months would make the arrival so much sweeter: )
