Whilst Andrew (d23j) and I have been working on 1C29 (ex George Logue) we have been trying to find answers to the following.

How many 1C tractors remain in existence? We only know of 10.

How many have matching engine/frame serial numbers?

Who was the original owner of 1C29? Subsequent owners?

Do any photo's exist of what it looked like when George first acquired it to restore?

When we take it to a rally many of the above questions get asked by the public, it would be good to have some history.

The tractor is now running much better, however there are still some things to fix in the future, rebuild main and jockey springs, final drive seals, track chains and shoes, paint etc. Looks like The Dragon Ladies trip to Britain this winter will be off, so can finish the restoration to 1C29. Mmmmmmmmmmm better go to Britain (cheaper than divorce).

1C29 was purchased from Herb Reese from Greenbush Minn in the early 80s along with 2D267 (gas 65),1H 49 (RD😎 and 4E17 (48 elevating grader) by George Logue . I hope this help with your history search, I would be interested in looking at your 1C list .

Thanks both Scott and Eric.

I had information from your website Eric, when you get a chance I know there are 3 updates to it.

Scott Moulding now has tractor 1C51
Ted Halton now has tractor 1C12
Jim McFadden's 1C97 sold to whom????

I have not been able to find out if there is a tractor in either Britain or on the Continent, for some reason I thought there was one.

I assume all the tractors that went to Belgium were destroyed or melted down by the Germans near the end of the II War.

It would be good to try and trace the early history of these 1C tractors, none came to Australia. Maybe some to Panama, South America (Argentina)? I believe two 3E Diesel Seventy tractors came to Australia, however the first Diesel Caterpillar to Australia was a Diesel Fifty.

Get asked lots of questions at rally's, would just like to have some of the answers.
