Military D7E 75E series info?

Military D7E 75E series info?

I know the 75E series is similar to the 48A series D7E but I would like to know what the major differences are and the serial numbers break between low and high horsepower models.

Goes like this.
78E1 - 500 equals 48A6393 - 6882.
78E501 - up equals 48A6883 - up which is also the high hp change s/n.

Don't think there is much difference between military and civilian other than maybe wiring harness and some bolt on military preference accessories.

Thank you for the reply Old Magnet. I am going to look at what is described to me as a very clean high horse D7E later this week. I wonder what else they got wrong besides the serial number prefix?

scan is what Cat released some years back in their Serial Number books.

Yup, 75E it is. Glad there are some out there that still have good eye sight!!!!
