Here are some photos taken last week of my D7 47A pulling a rome disk in the brush. I was very happy with the results. Clutch needs tightening down some more as it was slipping at times in 2nd gear, but did not in 1st. I adjusted it once recently but guess didn't rotate the ring enough. Also the rest of my scrapers arrived and I got them installed after pics were taken.

The pasture had been cleared 30+ years ago into strips. I am disking the same strips that have regrowth, leaving the bigger mesquites.

Tim-
Mine is in Zavala County now, but lives in Frio County. Just a few miles north of you! Do you have a pull behind rake or a stacking blade? I sure would like to find a good heavy built angle stacking blade with C frame for my tractor.

Cab I noticed where you have the back gang bolted on its all the way to one side, I have mine set with two open bolt holes on each side of the top frame. This makes the disks cut in the same cut as the front when opened up. It looks as though the back gang is to far to the right.

Here is a pic of the back gang on mine.

I It looks like the front gang is angled quit a bit I guess it depends on where you have the hitch and tounge set too.

Ya, In the first pic you can see the front gang has too much angle too it, need to reset the front hitch so the front and rear gang are about the same angle when in the disking position.

Keep talking because I'm learning!
Is there a way to tell how to set the first gang in relation to the hitch?
Then I assume the second set should ride in between the front coulters?

The triangle bracket on the hitch can be set to center the disk with the tractor when disking. The drawbar swing setting adjusts the pitch or draft of the front gang when disking, I think that's what cab has to adjust (the drawbar swing).
