D2 gasket whatsit??

More

Last fall, I had the top off my D2's pony, then had the whole pony off and back on.

Today, I found this piece of a gasket on the clutch housing just in front of the pony flywheel. I have no idea what it is or how it got there.

Anybody recognize this fragment?

Jim

Thought it looked like the upper left corner of the manifold gasket, but not quite-the holes are too close together...may be the pony-to-block gasket, it has similar holes.

May be the right front corner of this one?
Yeah, I know,it's filthy-haven't got to cleaning stage yet...

Good candidate, but my fragment 's holes aren't evenly spaced like that. I did make a new pony to housing gasket.

I just made that gasket for my D2 the other day. It is a piece of the gasket that goes between the air filter assembly and the air pipe to the manifold.
