Thanks very much Aj I got the lot downloaded at last luckily i had the links saved before the board went down. Loved that little Hornsby what style and plush seats too. The Vickers sure looked fast but how anyone would compare it to a D8 of that time must be blind its more the size of a d6 it was a joy to see all them old tractors working. Did not think much of the guy trying to knock the tree with the LT wheel dozer.
Thanks agin

Hi AJ, Thanks for the postings, I too saved the links before the site went down and succeeded in downloading all the videos. Some of them I've seen before (on videos I bought) but others are new. I thoroughly enjoy films from that era, thanks again !!
John.
Yes they are about in videos, I've had them posted here before and glad I put the links up again so any new guys coming on the forum can have a chance to see them,I've added another clip that I recorded from the TV its from the David Brown Tractor Museum, another bit of history down the pan.I put the link in the first post so I would not have to repost the download instructions.
Enjoy
AJ 😄
Thanks, AJ, I've just downloaded the DB video. I used to go to school a few miles from Meltham, the home of DB, and have two of their tractors, a 1941 VAK1 and an early 1950s TAD3 (Diesel Trackmaster 30, or 30TD) in my small collection. The latter is in excellent 'working clothes' condition (unfortunately I don't have a photo to post, and not sure if a non-cat would be acceptable here !!. Driving the 30TD does take some getting used to, especially the foot clutch, after driving Cats, but it's also great fun.
Thanks again !
I think all the guys on here like machinery no matter who makes it,it was a pity to see DB taken over and then executed,Case done the same thing with Poclain and every one else they took,I just hope that JCB remains a family concern, all the home tractor makers are gone now and of course the same with cars, not one true brit left, everyone selling out regardless when they get a few more pence per share.I often wondered why DB sold out as their tractors were sold world wide and had a great name,Ferguson is swollowed up now too.glad you enjoyed the videos.

thanks AJ, I am enjoying the past from the comfort (and dust free) convience of my office. You must have been a youngster when you took these.😄 ...sl
Can someone just e-mail me the videos? I was able to download the first video but haven't been able to download any of the remaining videos. I followed the instructions to clear the temp files but still no luck.
PS the video I did get downloaded was when this post was on the board a couple months ago
I had a problem with the first set of links I had posted as someone posted them on another forum which I happened to see,I used the kill code and renewed all the links so if anyone had the first links copied they will not work now,the links in the post above are good,I can email the clips to you if your email allows 70MB files, send me your email in a PM,for some reason using the method for clearing the tracking cookie does not work for every one but on checking tonight the waiting time was 32 minutes between downloads.
AJ😊
AJ,
Sent you a PM.
