I asked John Parks at General Gear about whether he had made new badges for the 22 radiator similar to his D2, D4 D6, D7, D8 plates and he replied he hadn't and that the demand would be too small to warrant making the master plates, I've got a 22 missing a radiator plate, I'm wondering if there are others out there maybe in need of new plates? For example the new brass plates for the D4 are $30 a pair from John.
Regards
Mike

Mike, I must confess ignorance. Is this a brass identification plate? I don't know of any brass plate on my radiator. Where does it go, and is it shown in the parts manual? Ray

these tags are only found on the late series (1J ) tractors. I am not sure of the exact serial number they changed at. They are much thicker than the D2 style badges which were stamped out of thin metal. I have a pair and will take a picture and post them in the 4 sale section tomorrow. - Wally

Hi Wally, my 22 Parts Book shows the top radiator tank changes at 1J1599, so I suspect maybe that is when the "Twenty Two" tags started being used?

Mike, my 2F5209 does not have those tags as Twenty Two is cast into the radiator tank. Ray

Hi Ray 2F1-2F7445 has a 2A583 top radiator tank, 2F7446 to 2F9999, and 1J1 to 1J1598 have the 3B4104 top tank, then the production of 22's starting at 1J1599 in 1937 came the new top tank 4B1712, the last 22 made was apparently 1J5157 in 1939, so it is possible there were about 3,400 of 22's with the pressed Twenty Two plate on the lower radiator if the "new" top radiator tank 4B1712 did not have Twenty Two on it?
Regards
Mike
