Anybody have a idea what color the Canadians painted their Cat gensets? I have a D311 unit that is tagged RCAF and appears to be a dark green (maybe like a olive drab) under a recent coat of light grey. I don't see yellow paint all the way to metal. This genset is also way heavy to the normal Cat
D311 stated weight of 3500#. It's closer to 5100#😮and a bit longer at 9'. It also has a casting/pulley mounted on the pony head that allows one to pull start the pony in real close quarters. Very strange.

I'll have to paint again and it would be nice to paint the original color.

Thanks,
Tom

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
