Say gang. I have a neighbor with a model 25 Cable control that he was talking about scraping. It was on a 1969 D7E and was taken off about 35-40 years ago when a Ripper was installed. The Cable control has been stored inside all these years and was working when it was removed. They use to pull a Model 60 scraper with it. Anyone have any use for it? Or know what it might be worth? Weighs about 1 ton. I'll get some photos and more info if there is any interest. I would rather see you guy get it than the scrap man. Dandy Dave!

Be a shame to have it go to scrap.....
Try posting it in the "Forsale" section.

May not be a #25 if off a d7e.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

I'll get some photos and the serial number and such If I can find the plate. He did mention it was on a 9U series D6 at one time also. Maybe it was never on the D7-E??? He said it was and it pulled the #60 scraper better than the old 9U series D-6 I don't know?? It has been laying in his shed as long as I can remember. The first time I saw it was around 1980. He said he is open to offers. PM me. Dandy Dave!

OK you Lovers of the Great Iron Caterpillar. It is now in the For Sale section. I got it out of him what he wants and posted it with photos. It was last mounted on a D7-E with an adapter plate and special shaft that was supplyed by our local Cat dealer who was T. Southworth out of Menands NY (Near Albany)at the time. He says Cat stuff is expensive. If you want it, bite the bullet. He was treating to scrap it just to get a rise out of me. He knows my heart is in saving this old stuff. Dandy Dave!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
