Jon,

VERY NICE! Indeed!

I've only recently noticed that the tracks on certain SIXTY tractors seem to be on backwards. Yet that appears to be the correct way for that tractor, looking at factory photos and ads.

Great workmanship, can't wait to see the final product.

That was a nice original when you started if I was a guesssing man. Will that one be coming to Woodland in 2008 along with your nice wide Gas 40 Cat?

Hi Pat in NC,

I have learned recently that the Best 60 and the Cat 60 up until 1928 had the tracks with the rib at the trailing edge. For information, you can look at issue #19 of the club newsletter. There is an article by Dave Smith that explains the design. The Sixty is the only Tractor made by Cat with that design according to Dave.

By the way, the club still has plenty of copies of issue #19for sale. I will bring some to the national ACMOC Show in Virginia.

Regards,
Lee

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
