Hey Mike,
We hope you and Red can make it over this way when you are passing by. I assume you are bringing your motorcycle. Debby and I both ride. I'm sure Toby will chime in and we can go see his and Ted's toys. It's a nice backroads motorcycle ride from here to his place. If you really want to test the Kenworth I am going down this Sunday to try to fire up that DW 20 just south of St. Louis. I think you would be a bit overweight though with it on your back.
Roger
That's quite a hike, safe passage to you and smooth roads for Red 👍
Mike guess I will go to fling early, because your back road thing doesn't include Amarillo.
See you and Red at Belle Plaine.

Gees, Mike , when you go for a sunday drive . you don't muck about .
Hope you have a good safe. and enjoyable trip.
Going to be stopping by Ferdies while going thru southern mn? That is always good for a half day tour.
Hey Mike, if you end up in my area then please feel free to stop in, old-iron-habit knows the way over here.:car: Between old-iron-habit, myself, and Ted (my dad), there's not many others close by that are into old Cats so anybody that has time to stop and likes to talk Yellow is welcome anytime.👍
All loaded up and were heading out tomorrow afternoon. Sure looking forward to hitting the road. Going to be lots of fun taking back roads with plenty of time to get to KS. Here is a picture of Big Red all ready. The steer axle weights 9K, drivers 32K, trailer 11K. It's just enough load to make it fun to drive and with the trailer mounted on the tail it tracks pretty good in tight areas. We will be posting our progress as we travel.
Old Iron, were planning on coming by your house after Peoria. You got room for my truck and trailer? It's 66' long. Yes the motorcycle is packed on the truck too. Hope your OK that I sold the Harley and now riding a nice quite Goldwing 👍 .
Toby, if thing work out it would be nice to stop by.
What's Ferdies?![]()
Mike,
For the trip you might want to turn the exhaust flapper on the Mighty D4 around. I've hauled my own stuff and have seen the flapper blown open on not only my critters but other hauled loads at highway speeds. You knowyou're going to find some rain along the way and I'd doubt you really want it going down the stack.
