Thoughts and prayers for those involved with the disaster in Minneapolis. I was reading an article this morning and read:

"This is not a rescue operation any longer," said Chief Jim Clack of the Minneapolis Fire Department. "It's a recovery operation, which means we move slower and more deliberately."

Is this the Same Jim Clack from ACMOC? Regardless, luck and safety to him and his men.

on cnn.com they have an amazing video, from a fixed security camera of the bridge actually collapsing! It's amazing to see how fast that bridge went down, with numerous cars and trucks on the bridge deck. Moreover, the splash created by the bridge is amazing.

Yes, that is Jim Clack who is a Cat collector and Director of ACMOC and is the Fire Chief for Minneapolis. He and his crew certainly have their hands full right now and we should all keep Jim and the fellow recovery workers in our thoughts.

Yes, Jim Clack has been interviewed several times on TV. He looked worse each time. Of course here in Minnesota the catastrophy is the only thing on our minds and the news media. As others have said; prayers are needed for the victims, their families and the rescuers.

I talked to Jim today, wishing him the best. He said his role in the tragedy is starting to wind down because the work is now recovery, not rescue. The sheriff's dept is responsible for the effort below the surface of the water. He said he was tired and ready to go home!
