Ok Guys I figured out a way to get more young men involved at the Cat shows. Have a model photo shoot with the antique tractors 👍
My 19 year old son has very little interest in the tractors until the neighbor hood girls show up wanting to take a few pictures on the tractors. It was absolutely amazing how him and his friends were instantly interested 👋

Now we just got to figure out how to get the models/girls to show up at the next tractor show for a photo shoot. When the girls leave hopefully the boys won't fallow them and will stay for the tractor activities?????

Nuthin gets a boys attention (or a mans for that matter) than a woman on a big piece of iron, whether she operating or just posing. Some things just don't change with age. 😄 LOL I like it when people stop and look, I just wave and smile.

A few years ago we had a young lady come out to our show and ask if she could run a piece of equipment. We do not turn away some one that wants to learn. So she was taken out and given instructions on a 977. Next thing you know she was digging holes like mad, but got upset with us as we were pushing the dirt back in as fast as she was digging it out. She is now married to one of the guys giving her instructions.
The youth are the future of this hobby keep them interested.

Dead right Terry. I'm going to teach my wife and kids to run mine (after I learn to run them : ). Then I can sit back with a cold beverage of my choice while they enjoy themselves making a mess of the paddock
Cheers,
Neil

I posted a year ago that the wife and children should have some familiarity with the husbands toys (Vintage Cars, Trucks, Tractors, Guns).
When you die, they will better understand the value and not be selling them for scrap or int eh case of your Guns turning them in to the Police for destruction!

Mike,

Perhaps you've stumbled on a whole new chapter for ACMOC! I can see it now: the Caterpillar "model" Calendars will be flying off the shelves of the ACMOC online store! The Club Magazine has an annual special "swimsuit" issue with various "Cat" models on the finest beaches of the world. :jaw:

With so many people having camera phones, the larger Camera Shows always have MODELS to photograph at their shows; has been that way for awhile in California anyway; and definitely draws people...........😆

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
