I'm interested to know if there is any way, from a CAT part number to find out the actual part description etc., and what the item is
e.g. 4A44, 1B5175, 7B8975, 1D3363 ?
I'm trying to collect complete tool kits for my three cats (D2 5J, D4 7J and D7 7M), and wondering if anyone has any contacts who may be able to help me..

Thanks.

Cheers,

Pictures and Part Numbers for common use tools can usually be found at the back of the Parts Manuals. Here is the 7J & 2T items and the early 7M (later sr. no. slightly different)
Specialty service tools can be found in the various editions of the "Service Tool Catalog"

Thanks very much, a lot of useful information here, especially the pictures from the parts books. I have several of the 5B7xx open ended wrenches (spanners we call them) which are for my tractors, but then I find one which has a part No. A1733, which I suspect is for a later machine(s) but I've no idea which one.....
