Look on the ACMOC store under restoration parts.
I've seen that guys handiwork who is making the Cat. bits and pieces being sold in the ACMOC Store, its all first class, we are lucky he is going the extra yard for us.

I'm glad you fellas point out that they can be bought from acmoc. I was getting ready to order one on ebay. Thanks for the reminder.
If you have the ability to weld a nut on a bolt you can make one yourself.
If you need the standard 1 3/16" tool, use a Coarse Thread Metric M20 bolt x 50 mm long. It has a 30mm head that gives you the 1 3/16. CAT Part No. 6V3531. I remember someone else on the BB bought one from ACE Hardware.
Thread a 7/8" NC nut onto the bolt and weld it in place. CAT Part No. 2J3505.
You might want to shorten the bolt a bit before you weld it up. Thread the nut on and see where the tool balances for you. Use an impact to remove those dry plugs that are rusted in place and a flex handle to remove those backed by oil so you don't get a bath when the plug spins out faster than you can stop the impact.
Some folks just weld a piece of bar stock on the threaded end of the bolt and wrench them out but the impact and flex handle are much easier to use.
Just DO NOT USE A PIPE WRENCH. I just got through refacing a leaker. The pipe wrench upset enough metal to make facing in the lathe necessary and now it is hardly an unblemished OEM part! That's what you sometimes get from the tractor junk yard.
I use a nut welded onto a flat steel plate with a square hole in the middle for a 1/2 socket drive. Carries nice and compact in my tool box.
Do not use a Cold Chisel either!
Those bunged up Plugs leak worse than the Pipe Wrenched ones!
There was an extensive thread on this subject this past spring/summer where a lot of the guys contributed photo's of there homemade favorites!
since i live at the end of the world, i use homemade cat wrenchs. i'm also colour blind so that is why they ended up painted john deere green, lol.
thansk
