Here in California there is place called Palo Alto speedometer. They rebuilt my gauges on my cat 22. ( oil, water temp) Then they rebuilt my fuel pressure gauge on my D2. So they probably could fix your gauge. Keep in mind that it can get expensive. My fuel pressure guage cost me five hundred dollars and that was probably five/ six years ago.

good luck, 👋

I would try APT Instruments International in Bloomington Minn. I had them restore my original Fuel, Oil Pressure and Temp. Gauges on my D2/3J. Like Tractorboy1 said,it
is not cheap. Their number is (952)881-7095. Look them up on the Web.

Also not too long ago, "LCM" had an advertisement from a guy who does dashboard restorations on Jeeps.
I think he provided a link to the guys website??
He seemed really reasonable in the work that he did.
I'm not sure how detailed he gets into the actual gauge repairs though?

I have some used guages in good shape. Not sure what you have on your sixty. Do they look like any of these? Sylphon, Ashcroft or US Guage Co. ? - Wally

It was talking to Andrew Kennedy in Australia this morning and he said Lance Jones was talking about making new gauge faces and I mentioned Tim had already done it a few years ago, in fact I bought 2 faces at the time but have still to use them, just refreshing this topic for the benefit of our banana bending brothers in Chapter 18.

Bill Walter rebuilds us oil gauges for a lot less than that if you have a good core , his info is in the parts sticky .

I think we are going to need to get some new gauges made down under and send them back to the USA we can't wait for ACMOC to do it or my kids will be waiting for them, I will be long dead before it happens!

Lance has these gauge faces available now.
I believe they are a sticker on some sort of composite face.
Just remove the two screws in your old face and fit the new face.
Lance may come on with more detail and photos.

Sadly you might be right Andrew, it sounds like the new gauge project has stalled and it might take a couple of years for a fresh approach to get them done but I'm not sure, are there still instrument makers here in Oz?

I remember a few years back (around 2009) talking to a old instrument company called Adelaide Instruments who quoted me $A500 plus (as you know that's about $US375) to restore a old Sylphon oil gauge, he said from their experience that the decal faces are not really durable on working tractors because the heat and sunlight affects them but obviously to get faces hand painted is not cheap and that price he quoted was for a hand painted face, they had a team of artists there in Adelaide who painted them, obviously there would be different grades or qualities of decal raw material too, some rubbish, some very durable.

I wonder if there is a instrument shop in Bangkok next to your gasket shop who could knock up 200 Sylphon style gauges for $70 each with painted faces, seems to be plenty of aftermarket gauges on Fleabay and through restoration supply companies in the USA for the Massey Fergusson and Ford and Inter tractors for $24.99, we just need to find the right company who can make a reliable product for a fair price and the ideal path originally was to work through the ACMOC Club so they got the profit and that in my opinion would still be the ideal path, market the gauges through ACMOC if the gauge team currently working on the project in the USA have hit a road block, it sure would be a shame because I bet they have put a lot of time and hard work into the project to date.

Mike

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
