This is my Minneapolis Moline prototype crawler Serial No. X253. Built in 1956, it's basically a production 445 tractor that had the rear end housing removed and replaced with a prototype back end that had final drives in place of the axle tubes. The whole machine is set on a production Caterpillar D2 undercarriage which makes it unique. This was the first crawler unit that Moline ever assembled and started the evolution of the eventual production model 2-Star crawler.

Quad----

Great video on the Moline-----weld on rear casting gives it extra character. Well done video---great lookong little tractor----very scenic grounds.

Real historic link on the Cal Poly Ponoma pictures. Unique to see the small crawlers working in the "special application" orchard/vineyard work.

Always heard of Cucamonga-----now I feel like I have been there.

Thanks for posting both.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
